As many of you are aware (or maybe not), I am a total foodie. I do have classic training as a chef & my own culinary history working in that realm. Naturally, I've developed quite a range for flavors & ingredients I enjoy after many years. As a courtesan, I've been given the very best experiences in dining with you all on dates over the years all over the world now. Part of my blogging requests have landed us here, as many of you want more than just the plated visuals. I'm happy to indulge and oblige!

On a recent dinner date, a local (to me) favorite fellow foodie asked if I had seen or been to Takumi yet. I'd been anticipating their opening, but had not yet had the pleasure. Mr. M was on the booking quickly & we were reserved for a modest 7pm dining experience.

The location is petite, cozy, charming and hints at luxury but isn't pretentious. The setting was pretty quiet so it was automatically ideal for us since we enjoy light caressing and heavy (giggly) conversation before digging in. The menu leans on the adventurous side with very fresh and intriguing ingredients, with tuna being a main character.

I selected the Takumi roll, listed below

TAKUMI $38.00

Tempura lobster, avocado, cucumber, tobiko caviar, smelt caviar, eel sauce, and spicy mayo

A working girl skipping her caviar and lobster is simply unheard of. However, this roll was more than the length of my arm so my date did have to help me out!

The selection of premium Japanese Whisky was well worth the indulgence & we were both satisfied with the variety. The Yamazaki (12y) and Hibiki were what we landed on.

To finish us off, the green tea ice cream did not miss.

Sated, post sexual and sushi bliss, we decided that we will return this month for their Omakase experience.

Dinner dates are always my favourite, and this one knocked it out of the park. 8/10 for me, 9/10 for him. Thanks again for the lovely time, Mr. M

Later, I was reading a local write-up on the restaurant so do enjoy what that article includes if you are considering a date there too!
