Content warning: If you are sensitive to the thought that sex workers may rank and compare their clients, this entry may not be your thing. Feel free to skip past it.
This topic can be quite risky and a bit taboo, most (men generally) don't enjoy the idea of workers discussing and ranking them based on anything. I find that with review culture, turnabout could be fair play.
In 2026, I decided early on in the year that I would no longer entertain low effort, difficult or bare minimum inquirers anymore in this career. I find myself in a really privileged position to be able to do that, it's important that I recognize that. Not everyone can afford to just skip the ones we don't favor or ignore their own scarcity mindset for very long. So who does get my favor & attention? You may already know & if it's you, congratulations you don't suck!
"Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ’Til your good is better and your better is best.
This famous proverb is widely believed to have originated with the 4th-century church historian St. Jerome. It is a timeless call to continuous self-improvement, urging us to escape complacency and constantly refine our skills, character, and daily efforts.
This lived on a tapestry in my 3rd grade classroom as a daily reminder & still lives rent free in my head.
In a sea of inquiries, do you want to be good, better or best?
I personally have always greeted my potential clients about the same way. I provide the same level of care & consideration to clients of every level, every time. I enjoy my work, setting the scene, curating the details of our dates no matter the length, location or frequency of our meetings.
I always remember to ask if you have any special requests or preferences. I always hand select the outfit I think is best or enjoy requests for specific things. I care about the good clients as much as I care about the best ones. I also know that there are people who simply want the services they've paid for & nothing more personal or detailed than that. They still receive my care & aren't judged.
I don't rank any of my clients on their looks, skills or performance in any way even though I am ranked and reviewed for mine. What I do keep a running tally of is behavior & consistency.
My good clients are pleasant, prompt with their screening information & deposit in hand and readily know their ideal plan. The good clients pay the exact amount, show up on time, conduct themselves properly & maybe they return, it's also perfectly ok if they don't. These clients don't typically prefer getting to know much about me, they don't give tips or gifts but they don't overstep or overstay their welcome in my life. They keep communication short, sweet & to the point & appreciate the transaction for simply what it is.
My better clients are bit more involved. They are romantic but not over the top with it. These clients enjoy longer dates, meals together or they look into more interesting dates or trips. These clients tend to have a running list of places we hope to try together & we share a decent amount of exchanges. These clients are a bit more frequent with their visits even if they are short ones. The better client tends to show up with some small gesture occasionally or more than a few times (wine, a snack, a small tip, a card or gift etc.). These clients are a little more exciting for me. I do tend to prioritize meetings with them because they consistently let me know their schedule & secure the date right away.
My best clients are the gems in my crown. These clients are rare but I think every provider looks forward to hearing from them generally. The best clients book promptly, tip/gift generously between meetings, plan multiple dates sometimes or some really elaborate ones. The best clients know my preferences & are dedicated to finding ways of bringing joy and pleasure to my life and making things as easy and comfortable for me as possible. These clients may not come around too often, but we tend to have a really long relationship & a deeper connection. These clients don't miss my birthday, holidays or any other chance to make a lasting impression so of course they are a welcome & appreciated delight.
Sex work is still work, but some of our clients make it feel a lot more important & appreciated. I wouldn't say every client should, could or would aspire to be over the top, being respectful & following the rules is enough.
If you aspire to be anything, aspire to be well liked & pleasant company.
